Nearly all existing gates can be converted to automatic gates the most economical way of doing this is by using an above ground motor similar to the models featured below.

The only significant disadvantage to having the above ground unit is the appearance. We use the most advanced systems available which now feature thin articulated arms that can be semi hidden ideal for use on wrought Iron gates.

Visibility
On a close boarded gate like the one featured here the motor assembly is not visible from the road.
This type of installation works very well with above ground actuators.
