Solar Gain Swimming Pool Covers are made from superior grade 400 and 500 micron polyethylene which includes a UV inhibitor. DIY FLOATING LEADING EDGE

Adding a floating leading edge also known as a tow kit to your pool cover makes replacing the cover after use much easier. Especially handy if you want to be able to replace the cover with only one person present.
The DIY tow kit should span almost the full width of the pool.
Fitting the kit takes only minutes, a netted pvc sleeve fixes on either side of the cover and is held in place by press fix connectors.
Kit includes, foam tubes, eyelets and tow rope. Select the size you need for the width of your pool.
They can be cut down to size, suitable for solar covers and heat retention covers.

WHY BUY A SOLAR COVER FOR MY OUTDOOR POOL?

1. A warmer pool
Solar covers do this by converting the sun's light into heat like thousands of tiny greenhouses, instead of reflecting it as water normally does. This heat energy is efficiently conducted into the pool water by the increased area of the covers underneath surface. Tests have shown that 6 degrees of free heat can be gained and the swimming season extended by a number of weeks!

2. Less heat and chemical loss
The vast proportion of heat loss (75%) is through evaporation, however a solar cover's effect of sealing the pool surface can stop this loss by more than 95%, saving on fuel bills. This sealing effect along with it's insulation properties keeps the pool from losing so much of it's heat overnight. Chemical levels drop mainly due to evaporation the same as heat, so a solar cover can block this loss giving good savings.

3. Cleaner Pools
A solar cover keeps your pool cleaner in two ways, one is by stopping debris from dropping into the pool and the other is by helping maintain the chemical balance.

HOW TO PROLONG THE LIFE OF YOUR SOLAR COVER

»	Do not put your solar cover on the pool if you are winterising or overdosing the pool with chemicals. In fact all pool equipment will benefit from being rinsed off occasionally with fresh tap water.
»	Do not let the cover be manhandled in extremes such as frost, store dry out of freezing temperatures. Always use the solar cover protector sheet when the cover is off the water or it will overheat.
»	Continuous abrasion on rough coping edges or storing a solar cover with bad creases will cause it to age faster.
